Marketing Association of South Africa seeks new CEO
The Marketing Association of South Africa [MA(SA)] is in the process of seeking an experienced marketing person to take on the role of CEO, as the current CEO, Sarel du Plessis, will step down from his current position at the end of June 2012 to pursue personal entrepreneurial ventures.

"Du Plessis has played an integral role during the past nine months, having led the association with integrity, offering invaluable guidance and strong support in order to grow and heighten the role the association plays in the marketing industry. We will miss his keen insight and wish him well in his future endeavours," commented MA(SA) chairperson Brenda Koornneef.
Ethical marketing practices
The association provides a representative voice for organisations and individuals within the South African marketing industry. It seeks to provide leadership, mentorship, support and guidance to the industry and promote the concept of self-regulation, independent and credible research and professional and ethical marketing practices, encapsulated through the chartered marketer and marketing practitioner designations.
It is actively involved in influencing national policy, legislation and strategy on marketing and related business issues and has a fully inclusive board, which represents all the major South African industries.
