Michael Dick to chair WFA Forum on Integrated Marketing Communications

The World Federation of Advertisers (WFA) announced late last week that Michael Dick, integrated marketing communications director for Coca-Cola, has been appointed as chair of its Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) Forum.

The forum is a peer-to-peer group of marketers from the WFA membership, which represents multi-national companies and national advertising associations, and was launched in February 2009. Its objective is to build members' capability in integrated marketing communications. This is achieved through a peer-to-peer network of marketing experts sharing innovations, experience and learning.

The group's agenda, written by its' members, includes topics such as; creating simple IMC frameworks, breaking down silos, internal and external role-sorts, generating big ideas that scale and measuring the effectiveness of IMC.

Active members include: Bacardi-Martini, Beiersdorf, BP, Coca-Cola, Johnson & Johnson, Kraft Foods, L'Oréal, Mars, McDonald's, Nestlé, Nokia, Orange FTG, ReckittBenckiser, Renault, Shell, Wrigley's, ABA (Brazil), UDA (France), ISBA (UK)

The next meeting will take place on 10 March 2010 in London, and will be hosted by Bacardi-Martini.
