Kalahari.net is no. 1 in national web survey

South Africans are increasingly turning towards the Internet to save them time and money. A survey commissioned by Financial Mail sought to find the top websites that make South Africans' lives easier. South African consumers have re-enforced kalahari.net's position as SA's leading online retailer by voting it tops.

The Financial Mail survey of 100 websites that save you time and money, placed Kalahari.net above Google, which came in the second position. According to Gary Hadfield, Commercial Manager of kalahari.net, this is testament to the numerous steps that kalahari.net has taken to remove the perceived barriers of online shopping.

"Instant gratification and free delivery are two very important elements of making online shopping a time and money saver for the consumer. Kalahari.net recently introduced 24- hour delivery on top products as well as free delivery on purchases over R250. We believe that by consistently looking at new ways to be as convenient as possible, the entire online shopping industry stand to benefit," says Hadfield.

Kalahari.net is also continuously adding to its product lines to offer as many options to the consumer as possible. Apart from the core products (books, music, DVDs, games) its electronics offering of photographic equipment, hardware and software is constantly growing as well as other niche product categories such as health products, ticketing and subscriptions. Its various payment options give people without credit cards access to the convenience of online shopping and the recently introduced Express Checkout means that the purchasing process can be completed within just two clicks.
