What does the future hold in store for us?

The Weekender, in partnership with FutureFact and Arcay Communications, presents FutureFact Conference 2008, titled South Africa: The 29th Day - Have we reached our tipping point? The conference will focus on the changing social, political and economic attitudes of the people of South Africa, uncovering key trends that impact business and identifying where they are likely to ‘tip' in the future.

South Africa has evolved to a point where audiences, globally and locally, are watching with interest to see where the country is headed. It is at this point in our growth, that hard facts as to which dynamics are driving the country on a social, economic and political level are imperative for sound strategic planning.

Keynote speakers include seasoned researchers Jos Kuper, Penny Hoets, Lauren Shapiro and Debbie Milne from FutureFact and guest speakers Azar Jammine, director and chief economist at Econometrix; Justice Malala, columnist and GM Avusa Magazines; Claire Janisch from GeniusLab; Anne Bernstein, Centre for Development and Enterprise; Ndumiso Ngcobo, author of Some of My Best Friends are White, and Fergus Sampson, CEO emerging markets at Media 24.
