Kidz2Kidz Peace Festival in Greenpoint at month end
The event forms part of its Cool2BeKind initiative in September, which teaches our children that it is "Cool2BeKind" and enforces this belief through messages of self-worth, respect for yourself and others, human rights and kindness
Cool2BeKind workshops and events provide a toolkit to enable children from all circumstance, especially those in abusive or violent circumstances, to go forward with more knowledge on how to cope and break out of the cycle of bullying and violence. Teaching a child kindness is at the heart of creating a better world for all. We encourage everyone, especially children to stand united against bullying and abuse.
Kidz2Kidz encourages everyone to wear a heart badge on their sleeve in support of this campaign and, on 21 September World Peace day, to all stand united for 1 minute at noon, holding hands in a heart shape while thinking about kindness and then spending another minute making a noise against bullying, abuse and violence.
Kidz2Kidz Trust is the custodian to both Kidz2Kidz Projects as well as the Santa Shoebox Project. Its vision of connecting people through the 'Joy of Giving' has encouraged people to donate not only in a material and financial capacity but also on a much deeper level.
Tickets for the Peace Festival are R20 for adults and R10 for children. For more information, go to www.facebook.com/Kidz2KidzTrust or www.kidz2kidz.org.za.
