New editor for Fairlady

Suzy Brokensha has been appointed as the new editor of Fairlady magazine and will take over from Ann Donald, Fairlady editor since January 2002.

Publisher Marí Lategan says: "It is clear that Suzy is the right person to lead Fairlady into the future. The combination of her solid journalism background, knowledge of the international and South African women's magazine market, confidence, warmth and flair makes her the ideal candidate for this position."

Brokensha has been editor of Marie Claire South Africa since May 2003. Prior to this appointment she was founder and director of Partworks - an editing and consulting company that conceptualised, edited and produced many titles, including Baby & Me, Brides & Homes and Cosmopolitan Fashion.

"It is a privilege to be editor of such a well-known magazine, a South African brand that has 40 years of magazine excellence to its name. It has been carved into a very real and dynamic magazine and I am excited to be a part of Fairlady's future," says Brokensha.
