New magazine gives local website owners a voice - and recognition

A new magazine that talks loudly and clearly to the South African Internet user will be published in November. Titled Click coza, the publication emphasizes the usability of local Internet and encourages South African surfers to focus on home grown content. With its non-technical writing style, Click coza is uniquely geared towards the end user of the Internet.

The annual magazine covers everything that the layman needs to know about the local Internet, from how to choose the best connection option to how to successfully bid at an online auction. The reader will also learn about the best local websites in over 70 categories as chosen by a panel of judges. There will also be a special feature on online shopping opportunities.

"We know that the timing of this publication is spot on. With Internet access costs coming down, more and more people are realizing that it is worth their while to be connected. Click coza will confirm this, and will thus provide a boost to local content owners. It's a win-win situation for everybody in this industry, really, and we are thrilled to be a part of the driving force," says Eve Dmochowska, the publisher and editor of the title.

The magazine offers plenty of innovative opportunities for website owners and their advertising agencies - both in the off-line and on-line media. "Website owners have always had a tough time promoting their on-line offerings, since Internet focused magazines are often too technical for the layman to read regularly. Click coza overcomes this problem, and has the added benefit that it can be kept as a reference source close to the computer. So there is no need to remember addresses of new sites," says Dmochowska.

In conjunction with the magazine, the www.click.co.za website invites the public to vote for The Top Ten Sites, which will then be recognized in the printed edition. Upon publication, the website will act as a directory for all the featured websites and will therefore continue to drive traffic to local sites.

Click coza will be distributed nationally and the publication will be supported by various marketing strategies in the off-line and on-line world. For more information please visit the website www.click.co.za
