Capturing young insurance staff

INmag, distributed to students and graduates at high schools and tertiary institutions around the country every year, is promoting the opportunities available in the insurance industry to a new generation in a compelling way.

According to Andy Mark, publisher of the magazine, the title has grown rapidly since its launch in 2008 and has fast become the must-read publication for young adults looking to get into such a vibrant industry. "A recent survey indicated that the average age of management level staff in some sectors of the industry is nearly sixty. This illustrates why we urgently need to attract bright new talent to the industry, and why an annual, highlighting the many exciting career paths available, is so necessary.

Career opportunities beyond the norm

"It shows students that there are careers out there beyond the norm of doctor, lawyer, architect and accountant - though there are opportunities for these disciplines in the niche too. Young people need to be equipped with all the knowledge available in order to make an informed choice and plan the career they want and deserve," says Mark.

Written specifically for young adults, the publication provides unique insight into the insurance industry by highlighting the career opportunities available and profiling companies and associations, as well as their vision and successes. The magazine and its supporting website also contain a comprehensive database of bursaries, learnerships and study assistance offered to students.

The magazine receives strong industry support and is endorsed by some of the leading players in the industry including SAIA, the FIA and IISA in its objectives to play a major role in transforming the industry. The 2011 edition will be published at the end of this year.
