New editor for Marie Claire SA
Aspasia Karras is the new editor of the South African edition of Marie Claire, taking over from Kate Wilson. Karras will join the team on 4 January 2010 and her first issue will be the April 2010 issue, available on the newsstands in mid-March 2010.

A graduate of Wits University, Karras started her journalism career in 1994, as freelance journalist at the Mail & Guardian newspaper. She continued her career at ThisDay and later the Sunday Times magazine before joining Elle as features editor. She is currently the features editor of The Times newspaper. She also keeps a daily blog of all the latest fashion news and trends on her blog, The Frock Report.
"I am thrilled, excited and honoured to be chosen to take Marie Claire into 2010," says Karras. "The magazine has a warm beating heart that speaks to the vibrant, stylish and informed South African woman and I hope to live up to its values and charm as its editor."
