Zwane is an award-winning journalist who brings a wealth of experience to her new role. She started her career at Media24 community newspapers and rose through the ranks to become editor of Vaal Weekly and Vaal Vision after which she joined Drum magazine as news editor.

Commented Zwane on her appointment, “It is an exciting and challenging time in my career. I still remember clearly when Move! was launched – it had that special element that has made the magazine the success it is today. It's the simple principle of knowing who the readers are and speaking to them about what really matters while keeping them informed and entertained. I'm also fortunate to have worked with the outgoing editor Sbu. We've worked hand in hand planning Move!'s 100th issue (on street on 27 February), which is, coincidentally, also Move!'s third birthday edition.”

“Bucking the general trend in magazine sales, Move! is still growing and a recent issue sold over 138 000 copies – our highest ever! There are exciting times ahead. As our payoff line says: we are moving forward! ”

In the three years since its inception Move! claims to have become the biggest selling magazine aimed at South African women. This weekly magazine report a 2007 third quarter audited ABC figure of 114 412.
