    ECU Hold NV appoints new MD

    Allcargo Logistics has announced the appointment of Kris de Witte as the new managing director of ECU Hold NV, its wholly-owned subsidiary. De Witte will be responsible for the strategic growth of the ECU Line and evaluating new business opportunities and markets.

    Marc Stoffelen will continue to remain CEO of ECU International being fully responsible for the LCL business of the Avashya Group under the ECU Line Brand. He will report to De Witte who is responsible to the Allcargo Board, being the holding company. De Witte will collaborate with the board and the chairman for the strategic vision of the group to be driven outside India for an aggressive growth in the coming years.

    Teamwork has worked well

    Commenting on this, Shashi Kiran Shetty, chairman of Allcargo Logistics Limited, said as co-CEO's Stoffelen and De Witte have been running ECU Line during the last five years. "Initially they had a geographical divide which was later changed to a functional divide. I believe their teamwork and joint leadership has worked well for our company. ECU has made great strides in these five years to become a successful and well respected. We have made these changes in line with the Avashya Group's vision and goals."

    De Witte has been in the logistics business for nearly 30 years and with ECU Line since 1999. Until recently as CEO, he has been involved in all aspects of ECU Line's expansion over the years and his rich experience has added value to the company. Stoffelen has 28 years of experience in the shipping, logistics and NVOCC businesses. He has been with the ECU Group for the past 19 years and is a director at ECU Hold NV.
