Mountford is a chartered accountant with an MBA from Warwick University in the UK. He has been MD of SAB Diversified Beverages, which included SAB's supply chain services and logistics interests.
He was also MD of Super Group's logistics and transport division until June 2002, after which he joined Imperial Holdings, where he was CEO of the consumer logistics division for six years.
Mountford was appointed CEO of Super Group in July 2009. He is also a director of the Road Freight Association, which mainly represents road freight service providers.
Since his appointment as CEO, Super Group's market capitalisation has rocketed from R349m to about R14.5bn, a rise of more than 4,000%.
