ITIL awareness is key to business and project success
ITIL remains one of the most effective IT standards based approaches to improving and creating qualified processes in a business that ultimately ensure the success of projects and in fact entire departments. However until recently only those who have undergone full ITIL training and certification have been able to reap the benefits it can yield to your business.
"Based on the demand that has risen from within our customers, Quintica has developed a two day ITIL awareness course that is coupled with a SAIL simulation course, enabling teams to develop and understanding of how the theory of ITIL provides results when put into practice," states Willie Venter at Quintica.
Over the two days attendees are provided with insights, through the ITIL framework, of how best practice methodologies and processes can assist a business in achieving its targets. This is then taken and unpacked in a SAIL or simulation environment where everything that was learnt in theory on day one, is then put into practice via gamification in a simulated environment.

Putting ITIL into practice
The most compelling aspect of the ITIL awareness training is the simulation day, where attendees are tested on what they have learnt by putting it into practice in a simulated business environment. Known as the Quintica SAIL training, the simulation is run in such a way that highlights how every decision made in a business affect a member of the group who is running their own section or division of that business.
The simulation really brings ITIL to life by way of a fully operational and functional simulated harbour environment and helps people understand the importance of planning, communications, processes and delivery and how each area in a business impacts the other.
