The Joburg Travel Festival set for April

Calling all enthusiastic travellers with enquiring minds and a hunger for the unknown: the first Joburg Travel Festival kicks off at the Sci-Bono Discovery Centre on 5 April 2014 and promises an abundance of informative and entertaining speakers, exhibits and activities.

The festival is designed to encourage and facilitate both local and international travel, and to empower its visitors to take charge of their travel dreams. Whether it's going on a game drive, sailing down the Danube or salsa dancing in Cuba, the festival will allow you learn more about these experiences first-hand. Tango dancing demonstrations, platters of exotic food, a variety of music, guest speakers and presentations from countries that include Bolivia, Cuba, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Azerbaijan, Poland and Hungary will transport you, making these places feel tangibly close.

Travel insights by top bloggers and seasoned travellers will be provided, and practical information on how to get to the destination of your choice - including visa requirements, and accommodation options - will also be available. The Joburg Travel Festival will also be dishing out giveaways, weekend holidays and airline tickets - and entering the quiz will put you in line to win amazing prizes.
