Jamie Pieters appointed to FEDHASA post
The Peninsula All-Suite Hotel's Jamie Pieters has been elected alternate director for the youth segment of the Western Cape branch of the Federated Hospitality Association of South Africa (FEDHASA) and will now be part of the FEDHASA Western Cape board.

Pieters, the office manager of the accounts department of the Peninsula Hotel, completed a Diploma in Hospitality Management at the International Hotel School in Cape Town in 2009 and has worked at the Peninsula All Suite Hotel since January, 2007. He is currently studying a Bachelor of Commerce degree through UNISA, majoring in finance.
"I am thrilled with my appointment as alternate director of the FEDHASA youth - I believe this is an amazing achievement. It is such a great opportunity for me to grow in the industry and to use the skills I have come to acquire at the Peninsula All Suite Hotel," said Pieters. "It is a big role and we have a lot of work to do, but I am excited about the position."
The Federated Hospitality Association of South Africa (FEDHASA) is the official representative of South Africa's hospitality industry and supports the sustainability and growth of the trade in the country. FEDHASA works closely with the private sector and government on issues regarding tourism, legislation, trading conditions, taxation, education and various other industry-related issues. The youth segment of FEDHASA was introduced in 2009 to provide the young and forthcoming leaders in the hospitality industry with guidance in their chosen career path and to address the unique challenges that they may face.
