Virtual auction to offer broad range of mining assets
The online auction, which closes at 3.00pm South African time on 30 July 2013, includes a wide variety of quality stock. Items include cranes, Bell ADT's, Komatsu PC400 and 800 excavators, Liebherr 964/974 Excavators, CAT 777B (3) Rigids, CAT 16G/H Graders, various CAT and Komatsu Dozers, CAT 992C / G FEL's & Komatsu WA-600 FEL's, crushing and screening equipment, 22 000l diesel tankers, Komatsu 785-5's rigid trucks, CAT D9 or CAT 793 spares, new mine site electrical transformers, switch gears, complete site offices and mobile buildings and even Warman pumps and motors.
Comments Clear Asset's managing director Ariella Kuper, "By offering a niche focus in mining and construction assets, our system appears to attract a wide range of discerning sellers as they continue to see the results of our online platform and how it ensures credible interest from both local and international buyers."
Easier access and greater transparency
The stock on offer during this auction has been sourced directly from formidable contractors and mines alike, including Sikhova Mining in Delmas, Tau Mining in the Northern Cape, Mogolakwena and Kumba Thabazimbi (both Anglo American Platinum mines) and Lonmin UG2 concentrator.
Commercial vehicles invariably form part of a mine clean-up package, and encourage additional participation from non-traditional bidders. "Often smaller players or entrepreneurs would not even have the access to this stock. Our online platform supported with key documentation and information per asset, plus dedicated viewing days to validate the information, provides not just access to them for bidding but a sense of comfort and a professional overall experience," continues Kuper. "It is about building a repeat long-term relationship with buyers and sellers alike."
The Clear Asset team on the ground led by recent addition and GM Rory Hollins, former senior sales manager of Barloworld Equipment, provides credible experience and expertise in an effort to provide support, information and technical guidance to all bidders, locally and abroad.
It appears that bidders and sellers alike seek not only easier access to stock across geographic lines, but also more transparency in such transactions. In addition, more and more mines are concurrently looking to dispose of their non-core assets with minimal inconvenience to wisely free up working capital. The Clear Asset online auction platform provides exactly that.
