Taking place at the MTN Expo Centre, Nasrec, Johannesburg from 18-20 May 2011, its aim is to showcase new markets and projects to this Chinese investor delegation, as well as promote inter-Africa trade within the SADC region. Traders from SADC and China will be able to connect and cement relationships.
These 60 Chinese delegates represent some of the top companies in China and close to a third of these represent the mining sector, a key sector for the show. Add to that the vital areas of engineering, machinery, construction, electricity, water and finances and the opportunities presented could translate into a huge boost for the SADC region's economy.
This is only the first group confirmed by the organiser's Chinese counterpart, COIFAIR (Chinese Overseas Investment Fair), whose aim is to bring approximately 100 investors, including representatives from some of China's major state owned enterprises.
