The competition, which was a major drawcard for the popular trade show, invited entrants in novice, intermediate, advanced and master levels to enter one of two categories; Celebration Cake or Sugar Art. All entries were required to incorporate this year’s theme, ‘Inspired by Music’ with the final assessment performed by a panel of qualified guild judges.
David Sweidan, Willowton Group marketing executive, congratulated this year’s winners on a fantastic showing: “We are proud to be associated with an event of such a high calibre that gives our skilled bakers a chance to showcase their unbelievable talent. Commenting on the contest, Sue Reid, national president of SACDG, said: “There were some truly incredible sugar crafts at this year’s competition and I’d like to congratulate every participant for the effort and heart put into the creations.
