A large Italian presence features at this year's Africa's Big Seven food and beverage expo, including several informative Made in Italy workshops presented by Italian food production experts. The workshops cover numerous topics including new developments and techniques for processing and packaging juices, purées and other new products, safety and sustainability of packaging technologies and materials, new technologies and non-thermal processes in dairy manufacturing and packaging.
Peru joins Ukraine and Korea in hosting its first national pavilion at SAITEX and Africa's Big Seven food and beverage expo, along with the regular annual pavilions from Brazil, India and Pakistan. Approximately 1000 exhibitors from 44 countries are taking part in the joint shows this year, with an estimated 16,000 visitors expected to attend over the three-day duration of the shows at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand.
The Indian High Commissioner to South Africa, Ruchi Ghanashyam, performed the official opening of the Indian pavilion at SAITEX at Gallagher Convention Centre, Midrand. The Asian country is a major trade partner with South Africa, and has been a regular exhibitor on the joint shows for over a decade.
