"The use of this technology will speed up the tracking, capturing and prosecuting of the rhino poaching syndicates within our borders," says Chris Moseley who has dedicated his time to fundraise within the IT sector to enhance the technological capabilities of the various institutions involved in the Anti-Rhino Poaching initiatives across SA.

According to the Department of Environmental Affairs, 339 rhinos have been poached countrywide since the beginning of the year for the illegal rhino horn trade. "Conserving the rhino population is pivotal to safeguarding our natural heritage for future generations and this initiative is one that speaks to our tagline 'Incredible Connection, where technology and humanity meet'," says Marco van Niekerk, CEO of Incredible Connection.

Through support from the private sector, SANParks has made great strides in the fight against rhino poaching with 48 poachers already arrested in the Kruger National Park during 2012.
