T-shirt charity drive
Slipstream Fabric Finishers ran charity drives in 2011 towards collecting 10 000 Rainbow T-shirts for children in charities. The latest delivery of a batch of T-shirts to an informal settlement in Germiston with Out Of The Box Skills Centre (www.outofthebox.org.za) was made by people who visited the Craft Fair at 305 Long Avenue in Ferndale a few weeks ago.
The company, in addition to teaching people how to make their own fabric using dye and prints, also offers this tie-dye technique as team building event to enable people to contribute to a charity by making a t-shirt.
Events organisers, NGOs and corporates wishing to extend their CSI activities in 2012, can contact the company on www.dyeandprints.co.za, follow it on Facebook www.facebook.com/pages/dyeandprints or on http://dyeandprints.blogspot.com.
