The Lobito Corridor: Angola’s chance to lead in regional logistics

The store has what the company believes to be a unique double-storey home setting in which tiles and bathroom ware are displayed as they would be in kitchen, bathroom and living areas in a home. Other features include a working display of showerheads, lifestyle displays featuring all the latest products, and a wide range of mosaics in glass, stone, tumbled marble and stainless steel.
“This is the first time we have incorporated a home-within-a-store-concept for one of our stores,” says Kate van Niekerk, marketing manager. “We're certain customers will find the new concept interesting and helpful.”
The new store will also be home to the group's Visualiser system, a virtual decorating tool that enables customers to create a 3D picture of a tiled wall or floor that shows what influence lighting, tile texture and wall colour will have on tiles in a particular setting. The system is exclusive to Tile Africa and will compose a realistic final image that can be printed out or emailed.
Trained staff is also available to assist customers in putting together design ideas to help plan their renovations or building projects. The store is open seven days a week.
