SAARF releases AMPS six-month print data
The SAARF Board, following industry requests, has decided to release the latest AMPS six-month print data as a once-only measure to all users to assist them in better understanding the changes that are happening.
Due to the change in the methodology during 2009, originally these requests were received from print stakeholders. The SAARF Board initially decided that for this AMPS release only, the six-month print data would be released to print media owners for their internal use to assist them to understand the changes brought about by the new methodology. However, following other user's concerns, the results will be generally released.
AMPS users are requested not to misuse the six-month data, since the recent 12-month AMPS database, fieldwork period July 2008 to June 2009 (i.e. AMPS 2009 A, released in October 2009), is still the accepted currency.
