MARFA Conference - A must for the research, advertising, marketing and communications industry

Make sure you have booked your place at the Marketing and Research for Africa (MARFA) Conference being held at the Sunnyside Park Hotel on 25th and 26th February 2004. The conference boasts two of the world's top market researchers and international speakers - Roy Langmaid sponsored by Ask Afrika and Wendy Gordon sponsored by Research International.

The 2-day conference is aimed not only at the market research industry, but also at individuals and companies in the advertising, marketing and communications fields. Talks and workshops will include: 'Action Research' - doing things and then extracting the meaning of the activities, gaining an increased understanding of the effects of leadership and "followship", how non-verbal work can bring a new flavour to group research, see how much groups can achieve once they set their minds to it and are free from the need to follow a fixed agenda. Other topics to be discussed are "The Darkroom of the Mind" which will make one question a lot of traditional research approaches as well as advertising and marketing thinking.

"Not for many years has a conference of this kind attracted such well-known and high profile international speakers," says Jean Green, organiser of the MARFA Conference. "We believe that this conference is something that the research, marketing and advertising industry needs and we urge individuals and companies to book their places."

Other sponsors at the MARFA conference include: The Customer Development Corporation and Research Surveys.

The cost of the two-day conference is R4 000.00 excluding VAT for one delegate and R3 800 excluding VAT each for two or more. For more information or to book visit www.research.za.net.
