New service stores proof of purchase in cloud
A newly formed South African business offers a cloud-based storage system for receipts, to overcome the problems associated with proof of purchase on returns and claims. MySlips founders, having experienced the frustration at the loss of vital slips and consequently money, have set up the system to assist South African consumers at only R48 per year.
The company has ensued that legally electronically stored documents can be used as proof of purchase and has consulted consumer watch specialists to ensure that all CPA rights are maintained. It has enhanced consumers' handling of CPA rights by informing users when a return can be refunded or replaced as opposed to just repaired something many consumers are not aware of.
MySlips manages the warranties and guarantees available on many products and services purchased on a regular basis, such as computers, phones, home appliances, cameras and other gadgets but also extends the service to look after building services (flooring, cupboards etc.), cars and car related repairs and services and more.
With a 'one step' entry process, either email or upload, the system ensures consumers no longer lose money by offering the ability to quickly, simply retrieve their important receipts and documents when they need them - even via their cellphones. Commercial director, Stan Shaw, believes the subscription price is aligned to smart phone applications but delivers significant value beyond the annual subscription price.
