    Accountancy Age Awards 2009 shortlist

    Global software company HansaWorld has been shortlisted for the Accountancy Age Awards 2009 in the category ‘Mid-tier Software Package of the Year,' scheduled for 18 November 2009 at Battersea Park Arena in London, United Kingdom. It has won this category in 2006 and 2007. The awards recognise the best in business practice and in the public and voluntary sectors across the UK.

    The other nominees in this category are: Access - Dimensions; CODA - Dream; IRIS - Exchequer; nFlow - Version 5.0; and WebExpenses - WebExpenses.

    Kevin Clarke, HansaWorld South Africa country manager, says awards such as these are essential in building the credibility of the vendor. “At the mid-tier, our offering is not only very competitively priced, but it includes innovations that deliver real business management advantages. With two awards already, that goes a long way to providing independent assurance of the products value proposition.”

    This year's entry picked out several innovations added recently, including:

    • Real-time users for Apple's iPhone, covering point of sales, management reporting, time and expenses;
    • Completely restyled, real-time webshop, with configuration options and supporting size and colour matrixes for the fashion industry;
    • Real-time Business Intelligence through pre-written templates

    Clarke adds that the company is enjoying significant growth not only into Africa but also new geographic markets, having entered the United States, Canada, Brazil, Singapore, the Philippines and Vietnam. This makes the product a particularly strong choice when clients are looking for international features such as multi-language, multi-currency, strong real-time consolidation and 24/7 server uptime.
