PRISM Awards set for tough judging

The 2010 PRISM Awards have attracted a record-breaking number of entries and, according to spokesperson Bridget Von Holdt, “the judges' task is an unenviable one, given that this may be the most professional and creative group of entries I have seen. The stiff competition will give winners even more to celebrate, however, and we look forward to a superb Awards ceremony.”

The categories that received the most entries were “Media Relations,” followed by “Event Management” and “Consumer Public Relations for an Existing Product.”

“The awards are building a strong reputation, with a growing number of companies using them to benchmark their achievements against international best practice,” adds Von Holdt.

In wishing the entrants luck for the awards, Von Holdt says PRISA is looking forward to seeing public relations practitioners from across the communication spectrum at the gala event on the evening of 31 March at Gallagher Convention Centre, Midrand. “It's an excellent opportunity to not only recognise achievements, but to network with other members of the industry and stay in touch with PR developments," she concludes.
