PRISA salary survey
The opportunity to earn competitively is now a minimum requirement to retain competent people, says PRISA. Exceptional results can be encouraged by creative reward structures.
A public relations and communication management remuneration survey is to be undertaken by PE-Corporate Services in partnership with PRISA - the Institute for Public Relations & Communication Management.
According to PRISA, this survey will contain comprehensive information in user-friendly formats. It will cover basic salary, benefits and annual cost of employment for different positions - from junior assistants to directors. Employment equity profiles will also be included as well as a remuneration trends.
Issues that will also be addressed include: 'how important is it for you to retain your talent? Total costs of loss and subsequent replacement of staff' (separation, acquisition and learning can conservatively amount to 37% of annual salary).
The benefits of participating in such a survey are that you will be able to:
A special discounted rate has been negotiated for participation by PRISA members: R1 250 incl VAT and a copy of the survey. Data collection will be by PE Corporate Services via questionnaires and is confidential.
A minimum number of companies are required to make the data meaningful. The survey will be available to non-participants for R2 500.
For more information: contact Adele Slotar at PE Corporate Services Tel: (011) 442-4334; or Susan Richardson at PRISA, email: to participate or come on board as a sponsor. Please respond before August 31 2003.
