Recently launched POP, Place of Play, is a brand new self-contained, 2000m², indoor and outdoor playpark for children between the ages of 2 and 10 – and their parents can come along too! Situated in Canal Walk, Cape Town, POP is also the perfect venue to host an event with a fun-filled difference.
The playpark's numerous play facilities offer great entertainment and photo opportunities for the young and old. It boasts a three-storey (85m²) jungle gym specially assembled here by its American creators, a magnetic climbing wall, a bike and pedal-car course, mini quad-bikes, pogo sticks, and a laser room.
The POP Café, a full-service restaurant featuring colourful tables and chairs, offers a complete existing infrastructure and kitchen. Also boasting a small stage area with sound and a separate indoor party room, this venue can cater for all your event needs.
With an outside area over looking the Canal, the playpark is completely closed off, which ensures exclusivity as well as security.
It opened its doors in August this year and has become a favourite with its big and small visitors. It is the brainchild of entrepreneurs siblings, Paul and Mark Simon, who were also the brains behind the hugely successful Young Designers Emporium (YDE) enterprise, which was sold to Truworths in 2005.
