Green buns for Burger, Bakkies and Co

The Springboks' victory over Argentina in the Rugby World Cup on Sunday has the whole country in the grip of green fever and Steers is leading the way with their “Bok your Burger” initiative.

The franchise is encouraging their customers to come out in support of our boys at this crucial stage by joining in this fun initiative which is sure to cause a stir. For a limited time only, customers will be able to show their support by ordering burgers served on green buns (at no extra cost).

The green buns will only be served on request to customers who want to prove that their blood is truly green. The green buns taste no different to the franchise's delicious traditional buns (which will still be available) – the only difference is the colour.

Staff will be kitted out in green to show their support for our team. The promotion will continue until the Sunday 28th October 2007 – the end of the Rugby World Cup when, we hope, the Boks will emerge victorious.

“We are really proud of the Springboks' fantastic performance at the World Cup and it will be great to see South Africans getting behind our team by joining Steers in this fun initiative,” said André Piehl, the franchise's marketing director.
