Simply Asia opens in Honeydew
“2010 will be a great year for us as a group,” explains Cape Thai Restaurant Holdings director, Chai Lekcharoensuk. “We are planning to have an exciting menu, open more restaurants, strive to continuously get the best quality products at the best prices, not only to impress but to create a brand to be remembered by all visitors and South Africans.”
Since the group opened its first store in Cape Town six years ago, the brand has grown year-by-year and now boasts branches in the Western Cape and Gauteng, showing the zero impact the recession has had on this successful franchise.
Honey of a menu
The brand's success is based on its reputation for producing fresh, wholesome, tasty food and consistently excellent service at affordable prices, diners can still eat a substantial three-course meal for under R120. In keeping with tradition, the new branch will be providing this, and adding a new menu and sushi delicacies.
The man behind these changes is Simply Asia Franchise Holdings head regional chef in Gauteng, Chef Sumethee Perchaow, who has been a part of the team since inception and is a qualified Thai chef having gained his experience and food know-how from some of Bangkok's finest hotels.
“The art of Thai cooking is a delicate and complex matter. When one masters it, everything else follows. It's all about the presentation, style and taste and our executive chef ensures the results are always exquisite, making it a memorable experience for diners,” comments Gauteng operations manager, Stephan Ferreira.
