48 Hour Film Project comes to Johannesburg

The 48 Hour Film Project is a wild and sleepless weekend in which a team makes a movie - writes, shoots, edits and scores it - in just 48 hours. In 2010, nearly 40 000 filmmakers made 3000 films in 80 cities on five continents. This year, 700 filmmakers from Johannesburg are part of the action, as they kick off at 6pm today, Friday, 4 September 2011.

Tonight they will get a character, a prop, a line of dialogue and a genre, all to include in their movie. 48 hours later, the movie must be complete. These films will screen at Nu Metro Hyde Park on 17 and 18 September and the Wrap Party will be held on 22 September at the Fringe Theatre, Braamfontein.
