The Video Lab is searching for SA’s top 3D animators and VFX artists

The Video Lab is in the process of negotiation on the first animation co-production series to be produced here is South Africa. Should this negotiation be successful, it will have a huge impact on the growth of the local animation industry with positive spin-offs into the commercial and film VFX arena.

The series is a Canadian, UK, South African co-production and a new animation studio will be created to accommodate it.

Video Lab is looking to identify SA's best 3D animators, modellers and VFX artists for a number of projects. Should the series go ahead, animators would be required to be available for at least 14 months.

Those interested, are required to submit clearly marked showreels and CV's (please express your strengths and weakness w.r.t modelling & animation) Thereafter, promising candidates will be required to do a test to gauge their abilities. The final software for the series will be either Soft image or Maya. Candidates will be required to be flexible and at ease with this software.
