For the second year running, the bank has retained first place in the Deloitte's Best Company to Work For survey in the Large Company category.

According to Brian Riley, the bank's CEO, “People are at the heart of our business and we are once again proud of this accolade.”

“2008 has been a challenging financial year for both the industry and the company. While there have been changes within the bank, we have maintained our focus on our people and service excellence for our customers. The retention of this award sends a clear message about the commitment and calibre of our people,” said Riley, who adds that the bank's continued success will depend on lifting both the bank's leadership and people management standards even higher.

The bank has already stated its interest in participating in the 2009 Deloitte's campaign and thanked all its employees for participating in the 2008 survey.
