    Lip gloss spots spiked drinks

UK-based cosmetic brand '2 Love My Lips' has launched a range of lip glosses in South Africa that come packaged with two drink spike detector test strips that are able to trace drink spiking drugs in alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

With many drink spiking cases being unreported, local statistics are hard to source, however global research indicates that on average one in four people of club-going age has her drink spiked.

"The company want our ladies to confidently look their best, without ever having to compromise their safety for their femininity. The drink spiking tester strips, packaged with the lip glosses, ensure that our girls are always in complete control of their own safety," says Charné Jade Slee, 2 Love My Lips brand manager.

The drink spiking detector test strips are a quick and easy way to test a beverage. Simply drop some of the suspicious beverage onto the two testing areas on the strip, wait a minute and, if either side has changed to bright blue, your drink has been spiked.

These lip glosses will be available for a recommended retail price of R129.95, which includes two drink-spiking test strips. A list of stockists can be found at www.facebook.com/2LoveMyLipsSouthAfrica or www.2lovemylips.co.za and online purchases can be made.
