The new ice cream is based on the principle that fine chocolate - one of life's great pleasures and one that has been relished for centuries - is rooted in one of the most ancient civilizations.
The Mayans are believed to have started it all many centuries ago and their writings refer to cocoa as ‘food of the gods' and Mayan Mystica has been created to provide the same celestial satisfaction today. Eva Longoria says that enjoying the new ice cream allows her to get lost in a world of fantasies, “... because I'm of Mexican descent, so for me being a Mayan-Aztec princess in the advertising campaign was really fun as well as relevant,” she says.
The fusion of ingredients used to create the new ice cream is inspired by authentic Mayan recipes and ingredients.
