Blending roots, regions, people, partnerships

Blendsetting, a new concept linked to a range of Ciro filter coffees, is set to be the latest buzzword amongst coffee connoisseurs in the hospitality industry.
Blending roots, regions, people, partnerships

Launched under the brand umbrella, this new range of blends combines the roots, regions, people and partnerships involved in the rich world of coffee.

This holistic approach to the selection process has been dubbed as “Blendsetting”, creating a range of filter blends. Known as Ciro Classics, Ciro Origins, Ciro African and Ciro Estates, the four new ranges each contain a number of variants.

The Classics range; Prelude, Jive, Mocha Java and Tango, set the overall tone for filter coffee and appeal to a broad spectrum of moods, moments and tastes. The Origins range embodies cultures and rituals refined over time – offering the authenticity that can be found in a good cup of filter coffee. There are three blends within the Estates Range, each reflecting the geography, character and people committed to the cultivation of coffee. Sustainable development principles guide all cultivation and processing practices on these farms. Coffee was first discovered, traded and enjoyed in Africa, and the Africa range is inspired by the scale and soul of this magical continent.

Filter coffee is still at the root of the coffee market and interestingly, this traditional choice accounts for 58% of the coffee consumed in the out of home market. “It makes sense therefore, for Ciro to capitalise on the history, mystique and popularity of the filter coffee market, by bringing consumers exotic coffee tastes from around the world”, comments senior product manager at Ciro Beverage Solutions, Salome Tribelhorn. The new blends are available in restaurants and hotels.
