Leading sports brand appoints new PR agency

Nike South Africa has appointed GGi Communications (GGi) as the company's public relations agency.

GGi's experience in the sporting industry is extensive, having worked with the Cape Town Olympic Bid Committee, the South African Football Association, 2012 Paris Olympic Bid, 1995 Rugby World Cup, and the Benson and Hedges Day/ Night Cricket series. They work on a number of sporting events for the 2007 Rugby World Cup sponsor Emirates, and recently, the company took on the management of the marketing and communication functions for South African Tennis.

Commenting on their appointment, GGi Executive Director, Daryn-Lee Gamsy said, “We felt comfortable in recommending our services to Nike because of our extensive experience servicing global brands. As the world's leading sports brand, we're thrilled Nike has appointed us as their PR Agency and we know that we will meet, and exceed, their expectations.”
