According to the winemaker, Natasha Williams, the new Sauvignon Blanc goes well with zucchini and Gruyere brochette, popped under the grill, with a slice of freshly caught fish seared in the pan or a simple chicken in the oven. Wilhelm Pienaar, winemaker of the Merlot suggests slow-braised beef shortrib and mature cheddar, a boerie-roll, spaghetti with meat sauce or pizza topped with bacon.
The whites sell for around R42 and the reds for approximately R48 and are widely available from supermarkets and liquor stores nationwide.
