5FM DJs will take to the runway at 7pm on Saturday, 30 August, during a fashion show in collaboration with students from Lisof, one of South Africa's leading fashion colleges.
This event sees Lisof students modelling garments designed by their fellow students around the theme of ‘urban landscape' and will give the public a sneak preview of the up-and-coming design talent of tomorrow.
As an added bonus, 5FM jocks will be modelling T-shirts that have been recycled by Lisof students at the 5FM Lisof (Reinvent)5 T-shirt stand, which will be located at the SCC for the duration of Sanlam SA Fashion Week.
The idea behind this initiative is simple: reduce, recycle, re-use. Bring along an old T-shirt to the stand and allow the crack team of creative Lisof students to pimp it for you, 5FM style, at minimal cost. It's a novel and environmentally friendly way of reinvigorating old T-shirts and giving them a new lease on life.
5FM DJs will also be hosting the official Sanlam SA Fashion Week after-parties at Fashion TV in Sandton, with Erica Elle and Mlu keeping fashionistas company on 27 August from 11pm - 1am, Koula and Sasha Martinengo ensuring the party gets pumping on the 28th, Sureshnie Rider and Euphonik doing their thing on the 29th, and Erica Elle and Roger Goode wrap things up at the final after-party on Saturday, 30 August.
Fashion-savvy Erica Elle will be broadcasting her Studio 55 show live from Fashion TV on the Saturday.
