Saatchi & Saatchi goes alternative
"Both Witchdoctor records and Make Some Noise have great potential to become lovemark brands for the alternative youth in this country. Their bold products deserve bold advertising and we're looking forward to getting our hands dirty," comments Conn Bertish, Creative Director of Saatchi & Saatchi Cape Town.
The website and magazine promotes both local and international alternative music artists, which is a welcome boost for the competitive South African music scene to launch local talent in a category appealing to a minority music interest group, who in the past has only been exposed to mainstream alternative artists.
The launch issue of the Make Some Noise magazine is presently available at CNA, Exclusive Books and other retailers, and will be published monthly as of September 2004. Edited by Cerven Cotter, the magazine will also feature regular contributions from 5fm DJ Barney Simon. The magazine can also be visited online at www.makesomenoise.co.za.
