    Fusion Reactor releases BoilerPlate

Fusion Reactor and Digital Commerce have launched BoilerPlate, a new website content management system designed for use in a high-volume, personalised and multi-lingual environment.

Boilerplate utilises the power of Macromedia ColdFusion and J2EE to provide complex page workflow, instant publishing, full-text indexing and a powerful security model for diverse applications.

The security model is based on the individual needs of users allowing BoilerPlate to provide full audit trails of all page and site edits. A simple management control panel allows for the set up of new users and the allocation of necessary security privileges.

"Websites using BoilerPlate are flexible and expandable and users require little or no HTML knowledge," says Grant Jackson, marketing director of Fusion Reactor. "New site sections and pages can be easily created using the site modelling control panel."

"The BoilerPlate mechanism allows organisations to lock their corporate image and 'look and feel' into a series of templates that cannot be modified by business users. This means tighter control over corporate image standards and the marketing front-end of the organisation," says Jackson.

The BoilerPlate editorial workflow system allows users to use an existing workflow template or create a template in real-time by assigning the number of workflow steps and the required action for each user.

"BoilerPlate uses the Verity K2 indexing engine to index all site pages and documents that form part of a website. Pages, therefore, are easily located in the page editing control panel and fully indexed for searching on the website," says Jackson.

"Metadata linkage between pages, sections and subsections of a website is made easy with the BoilerPlate Intelligent Taxonomy engine (ITE). Horizontal page cross-referencing is built into the interface architecture and adds significant value in terms of time saving and accuracy," he concludes.
