Grow your mo' to raise prostate cancer awareness

The Prostate Cancer Foundation of South Africa is a non-profit organisation that aims to save men's lives by promoting awareness of prostate cancer and initiatives to fight cancer. The Grow your Mo' campaign is a means for the public to particpate in raising awareness and funds.

There are two ways of taking part in the campaign, one consisting of making a straightforward donation by texting messaging 40026, MMS to or an EFT donation or, alternatively compete in the Best Mo on Show. To enter, upload a photo onto the website through MMS (www.growyourmo.co.za), join the Facebook group or follow the campaign on Twitter.

From 15 September 2009, men across the country are asked to grow the "most ferocious and spectacular moustaches that physics, medicine and human endurance will allow. To beat them, you will have to summon every drop of awesomeness you have and focus it on your top lip for 15 days straight."

Each week of September a new Man of the Mo'Ment will be selected. At the end of September, a champion will be chosen and declared the Best Mo' on Show Grand Prize winner.

Every aspect of Mo'-craft will be taken into account: length, shape, colour, grooming, luxuriance, novelty and so forth.

For more information on how to enter, go to www.growyourmo.co.za . Or email or call Nelia on 082 316 8535. It takes a real man, to grow a Mo.
