Celebrating a New Agenda

Socio-economic policy and discourse journal, the quarterly New Agenda, celebrates its first anniversary this month. Published by the Institute for African Alternatives, New Agenda's editorial mandate is to inform and communicate present thinking at influential levels and to encourage policy and regulatory dialogue between business, government, non-governmental organisations and other interested parties, including the public at large.

Editorial chair, Professor Ben Turok, MP, believes that the editorial content of New Agenda provides readers with direct communication and opinion from the pulse of influential thinking: "New Agenda is an independently published journal that, through essays and interviews, aims to probe right to the bottom of issues, matters of policy, social and economic thinking or opinion.

"Regular contributors like Minister of Finance Trevor Manuel, Professor Rob Davies MP and in-depth interviews with personalities like Alec Irwin and Patekile Holomisa reflect the levels of editorial integrity, clout and will to encourage and communicate openly with our readers."

Publication of New Agenda is assisted by the Frederich Ebert Foundation and the United Nations Development Programme.
