NEWSWATCH: the Democratic Alliance has accused the ANC of trying to muzzle the media, following the latter's accusations that if eNews refuses to hand over the tapes of a recent interview with criminals to the police, it “cannot be different from these criminals themselves", reports Mail & Guardian, which also reports that the alleged treatment of a French journalist by Joburg metro cops has made the headlines - for all the wrong reasons.
