Dickie Arbiter live in SA
“From 16 - 18 July 2007, Johannesburg will come alive as the kingpins of media and communications come together to share their experience and knowledge about the much-despised cousin of PR communication, SPIN,” says Julia Dutton, project director: conferences, IQPC Africa.
“’Spin and the Media’ is designed specifically to arm you with a range of tools and techniques that will enable you to succeed at any future media interview, publicity event or crisis situation.”
Having had unprecedented access to many notable public figures, Arbiter will be bringing his personal insights to South Africa through this public forum as an international multi-media specialist.
Arbiter was responsible for media engagements and relations for Queen Elizabeth II, as well as for the Prince of Wales and late Diana Princess of Wales, having handled all operational media requirements for the funeral of the Princess. He is currently a public speaker, commentator and media trainer, having retired from the UK Royal Household in 2000.
The conference, for which Bizcommunity.com is a media partner, will cover:
- Dealing with the media: ethical media communications
- Obtaining clarity and transparency in the media: combating spin
- Dos and don’ts on communicating with the media
- Managing crises: obtaining control over a situation
