More Fan Zones from MTN

MTN has entered into a partnership with Montecasino in Johannesburg and the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town to erect MTN Fan Zones for soccer fans during the 31-day 2010 FIFA World Cup.
More Fan Zones from MTN

The zones are intended to give fans the ultimate in “sportainment” by incorporating elements of a real-life stadium experience where the viewing area will be transformed into a “Pitch”, together with a “Players Change Room” and “Players Tunnel” where loads of original and exciting entertainment perks are planned for those with the coveted “Pitch” access.

The other public viewing platforms that MTN are associated with are:

  • FIFA Fan Fest, a FIFA initiative collaborating with sponsors that will result in 10 public viewing sights being open everyday during the tournament from approximately 12h00 each morning until approximately 24h00 each evening.

  • Ekasi TV sites, situated in 20 communities across the country will provide free football entertainment for thousands of people whilst screening all the games live. MTN Ekasi TV sites give communities an area where family and friends can meet and have fun in a safe environment.

  • The “K'yoze Kuyovalwa” Entertainment Rig will provide in stadia entertainment from up to 3 hours before the match while football fans wait for kick-off. The three 16 meter trailers that come with a 5m by 5.5m stage will provide for many exciting activities at 47 of the 64 games during 2010 FIFA World Cup.
