Illustrated posters show bank's progress, promotes clothing outlet

Standard Bank Corporate and Investment Bank and clothing outlet Jay Jays both recently made use of informative illustrated posters, the former to show the progress the bank had made in achieving its transformation targets, and the latter to promote its 25% off Freak Out Wednesday's.

Series of illustrations

Masters & Savant Worldwide conceptualised and created the series of illustrations for the Standard Bank Corporate and Investment Bank staff.

"We decided to dress the pillars around the bank with eye-catching and informative illustrations to communicate the bank's three transformation pillars, that of meeting their national transformation targets, celebrating the role of diversity to their business and their CSI initiatives which focus on health and wellness, education and enterprise development," says Roger Smythe, Masters & Savant Worldwide's MD for Johannesburg.

Radio ads and posters

Jay Jays partnered with Campus Media to promote its Freak Out Wednesday promotion in the Western Cape. The illustrated poster was designed by Cape Town-based creative agency ninety9cents.

Radio ads, as well as the illustrated posters around the two campuses, highlighted the 25% off Wednesday promotion. A five-week campus radio campaign was flighted on UCT Radio and Stellenbosch's MFM radio to drive students to the Jay Jays outlets at Rondebosch and Eikestad.

"The youth is a difficult market to target - they have their own set of rules and it changes constantly. Campus Media knows its students really well and offered impressive knowledge about the ins and outs of campus whereabouts and where the main marketing avenues are situated," says Karla Burger, Jay Jays South Africa marketing manager .

Both stores meeting their monthly targets within the first week of the campaign.
