Inaugural Joburg Photo Umbrella opens on Saturday
The launch of the Joburg Photo Umbrella at Mary Fitzgerald Square in Newtown, on 8 November from 10am-5pm, is part of the SA-UK Seasons 2014 & 2015, which is a partnership between the Department of Arts & Culture, South Africa and the British Council.
This is the first public photography-specific programme in the city to bring together and network a wide range of photography content, exhibitions, activities and dialogue.
The project includes 31 photography projects and more than 150 photographers and photo-practitioners, with participation from Parktown to Soweto and from Brixton to Brighton.
