Design competition for a worthy cause

Macromagic Technical Computer Training is running a Web design competition in aid of an East Rand welfare organisation.

Competition prizes on offer include design software and training courses. The task at hand is to design a Web site for the Khnyisa Trust in Edenvale that will promote communication between donors and the trust.

Khanyisa Trust is a Section 21 company that runs a soup kitchen and skills training, as well as providing support for several hundred indigent people living in the East Rand.

Entrants in the competition are required to design a site of between five and 15 pages illustrating the work of the trust. Facility needs to be provided for potential donors to donate, and a list of sponsors and their involvement needs to be catered for. The site must contain at least one form that is able to send an e-mail to the trust when submitted.

Competition rules and information are available on the www.ciw.co.za Web site. The closing date for entries is 30 November. The competition is open to all designers, offering a first prize of Dreamweaver, Flash and Fireworks donated by DaxData; a second prize of a "Design Concepts" course by Macromagic; and a third prize of a Macromagic course entitled, "Effective Use of the Net".
